Security Startups is operated by Better ISMS, the same company that builds Aevral (by ISMS Copilot), ISMS Copilot, and heyGRC.

This directory exists to serve Aevral the way ISMS Directory serves ISMS Copilot and GRC Agents serves heyGRC. Aevral is a house listing: disclosed on the card, coming soon until customer Scan is on, alphabetical, no pin. We compete here too, and we say so.

heyGRC is not a security startup and is not in this catalog. ISMS Copilot is the parent stamp on Aevral, not a row. Aevral is not listed on aisecuritydirectory.com: that directory is a vendor floor with a load-bearing no-house rule. This site is companies with proof-of-life.

Verification

Every company is web-verified alive with a 2024 to 2026 proof-of-life signal (a funding round, a shipped product, or recent news), shown on each entry with its source. Companies that are dead, acquired and shut down, absorbed into a hyperscaler, or pivoted out of security are excluded. Public mega-cap vendors are out: this is not a conference booth map.

Data sourcing

The catalog is curated by us from public sources: company sites, funding announcements, and press coverage. Category assignments reflect what each company actually builds. All descriptions are written by us.

Ranking

Listings are alphabetical within every view. Nothing on this site is ranked by payment, and no company can buy a better category, a badge, or placement. Listing fees, when open, only skip the submission review queue.

Directory north-star: qualified outbound discovery clicks across all companies. House conversion is a secondary metric.
