Seal does not nag you to jump three majors. It takes the fix lines from the patched release, backports them onto 4.3.x (or CentOS EoL, or a transitive you cannot bump), and publishes a sealed version in your Artifactory. Scanners then see a fixed coordinate and close the finding. That is remediation as a supply-chain product, not another SCA alert.
