Defakto, formerly SPIRL, is a managed workload identity platform grounded in SPIFFE and WIMSE. Services, pipelines, and AI agents get verifiable identities instead of long-lived keys in vaults. CTO Eli Nesterov previously ran a large SPIFFE deployment. The 2025 rebrand and Series B are the same event: sell NHI as IAM, not as another scanner.
